It is a short walk or a five minute drive to the restaurants, shopping and village of Mill Bay. This lovely spacious house is well supplied and has a layout that is very comfortable. With a garden full of Rhododendrons and fruit trees, deer and birds, you might just relax at home. When you are ready to have some fun you can rent a kayak, boat or mountain bike. Don't forget your fishing rod! In the Cowichan Valley you can fish the rivers, lakes and ocean for everything from steelhead to lake trout, salmon to prawns. Whatever your preference is, the island is full of interesting ways to spend the day. Enjoy the most beautiful scenery you will find anywhere. Golf or play tennis at nearby Arbutus Ridge. Enjoy the Cowichan Lawn Tennis Tournament. Take in the wineries that surround the area. Take a scenic ferry ride to world famous Butchart Gardens or go whale watching from Victoria's Inner Harbour. Catch the Tofino bus for a look at the wild west coast. Take a Gulf Island ferry to visit nearby Salt Spring and the other Gulf Islands. From the ocean to the rivers to the Galloping Goose bike trail, recreational areas abound. Approximately 35 minutes to Victoria and Nanaimo. |
