Hamakua Greenhouse is a beautiful, newly renovated, very clean, 2 bedroom (plus loft and sofa-bed) 2 bath cottage. It boasts a large lanai and commanding panoramic ocean views over rolling hills and pastures. Hamakua Green House sits on the slopes of Mauna Kea, at 1700 foot elevation. It is 2.5 miles above the historic town of Laupahoehoe on the scenic Hamakua Coast of the Big Island of Hawaii. Go green in style in this meticulously maintained luxury off-grid property with all new appliances, beds, linens, dishware and furniture. You will enjoy total privacy as you enter the 14 acres mini estate through a custom built solar powered automatic opening/closing gate that assures total privacy and security. No need to even get out of your car, simply punch in the key code and drive in.

Hamakua Greenhouse is a great base of operations to explore everything the Big Island has to offer. Sight see the scenic Hamakua coast waterfalls, an erupting volcano at Volcanoes National Park, majestic Waimea valley, or white sandy beaches (on the Kona side of the island). Return home to your own private oasis on the mountain, to relax in the peaceful setting and endless ocean views, sipping local coffee, while you kick back and look for rainbows. Take a walk around the very private 14 acres, see the 43' seasonal waterfall located on the property and breath in the commanding 180 degree ocean views.

All remodelled and new, the master bedroom has an extremely comfortable queen bed and its own bathroom with tub and shower. The second bedroom also has a new super comfortable queen bed and a loft with single bed plus an adjoining bathroom and shower. There is a sofabed in the living room if needed.

This luxury cottage is the perfect romanic getaway or family vacation retreat for discriminating travelers. Avoid the crowds and see all the beauty of the Big Island as if it were your own second home.

We suggest staying for a week or more to explore all the Big island has to offer and relax at this wonderful property.

Please note that there is no television, by design. We bring our own laptop to watch DVDs and listen to music, but we enjoy being disconnected from television. There is cell phone reception for Verizon, ATT, and others, and we often use USB-based cell modems with laptop computers while there. Please check with your provider about coverage.
